Our Cambuslang Depot is one of our main distribution sites for Scotland. Our hardworking Depot team are responsible for delivering beer, cider, wine and soft drinks to pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants across central Scotland.

We’re looking for someone with supervisory experience to join the Cambuslang team as Warehouse Shift Manager. This role will be a secondment on a fixed-term contract basis.  


So what’s involved?

The Shift Manager role is a hands-on role that’s all about supervising the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse at Cambuslang. You’ll be working closely with the warehouse team and colleagues across the Depot to ensure that we’re meeting our high service standards and operating as cost efficiently as possible.

This is a team leader role, so you’ll be responsible for leading, motivating, training and managing the day to day activities of people on shift. Your main priority is the health and safety of the team, so you’ll need to drive a strong Safety First culture whilst meeting the needs of our customers and target service levels. You’ll lead by example to promote a high standard of Customer Service at all times, and work closely with other Shift Managers to manage resourcing issues, share best practice and provide cover for holidays and other absences.

From a management viewpoint, you’ll be expected to maintain overall cost awareness, ensuring that the Warehouse team operates on budget, and you’ll be responsible for tracking and monitoring data on our KPIs and shift performance.

What you’ll need:

We’re looking for someone with experience in a busy warehouse/logistics environment, ideally with stand in or full supervisory/ management exposure. It’ll be your role to drive a strong customer service culture so you’ll need strong verbal & written communication skills.

This is a hands-on people management position so if you can develop & influence your team to meet customer service needs and business KPI’s – then we’d like to hear from you!

Additional understanding of IT systems i.e. Microsoft packages, Warehouse Management Systems is highly desired.
