People Data Analyst
C&C Group plc is a premium drinks company which owns, manufactures, markets and distributes a unique portfolio of beer and cider brands in our home markets and across the globe. In Scotland, you probably know us best from brands like Tennent’s lager and Magners cider.
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join the team, and help us use our people data more effectively across the whole C&C Group (including our businesses in Ireland and England). This role would normally be based at Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow however given the current Covid-19 pandemic, all 1st stage interviews will take place via Zoom calls and a degree of flexibility will be required. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
So what’s involved?
This role is all about analysing and reporting people data to create actionable outputs and guidance for decision making. We already producing a lot of people-related reporting, both for internal audiences and to meet our statutory reporting requirements (e.g. Gender Pay Gap, Northern Ireland Community reports). But we also have vast amounts of data that we’re not using as effectively as we’d like. That’s where you come in.
Whether it’s analysing performance data, reviewing headcount growth, spotting trends in our absence records, tracking our YoY HR budgets, looking at the diversity of our job applicants, or actively benchmarking our own KPIs with competitors locally and nationally, there is lots of scope to use people data to shape our decision and priorities.
We use Mitrefinch TMS as our core HR system in some parts of the Group and plan to roll it out to our other subsidiaries. You’ll be our data integrity champion as we roll TMS out to other sites, and will help us ensure it remains fit for purpose (e.g. through planned upgrades and testing) and to make sure that there is logic and consistency in how different business areas structure their data.
The data itself is only one part of the story. We’re also keen to improve the way we present our “data stories” so that they are appropriate, engaging and impactful to their target audiences. So being something of a whizz on PowerPoint would be very useful.
Working closely with the People Services Manager and our Group Head of Reward, this role will be based at the Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow.
What you’ll need:
- Experience of working in a data analysis role in a fast moving organisation. You don’t have to come from a HR background, but that would certainly be useful.
- A high level of attention to detail and personal discretion– especially when it comes to analysing sensitive payroll or personal data.
- Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- A conscientiousness approach, with a strong focus on personal accountability.
- Strong MS Office skills, with advanced Excel skills and a creative approach to PowerPoint.
Send us a CV that demonstrates your data analysis skills and we’ll be back in touch ASAP.
