HR Business Partner – Supply Chain
We are looking for an HR Business Partner to support the supply chain & distribution arm of our company which consists of over 300 people across 7 depot sites.
You’ll be joining a HR function that was newly expanded earlier this year to provide a positive roll-up-your-sleeves approach to advising managers in the process of creating high performing teams in the logistics & distribution network.
So what’s involved?
This role is all about delivering the People Plan for our Logistics and Distribution teams across Scotland..
In addition to supporting business change we also have an ambitious HR agenda for step-changing our approach to people planning, engagement, development and performance.
You can expect to be involved in projects across the full employee lifecycle, but our big priorities for us this year are centred around developing the strong Tennents value-led mind set, employee relations, continuous improvements of the supply chain HR process, and overall - making Tennent’s depots a great place to work.
In this role, you are supported by a Head of HR/ ER for Operations and have one (1) direct report (an HR Advisor) who you will develop and support AND vice-versa.
What you’ll need:
You’ll be an experienced HR professional (MCIPD qualified is preferred) who is comfortable flying solo on both operational issues and strategic projects – preferably in a related industry with a similar workforce (for example: logistics/distribution, FMCG, wholesale, manufacturing etc).
Some parts of our expanded network are unionised. So it’s essential that you have experience of building positive relationships with union representatives, and negotiating on complex issues both individually and collectively.
Of course, you’ll need brilliant communication and influencing skills to be able to engage managers and their teams in order to successfully implement the broader people agenda
