Our commercial finance team are looking for a savvy finance analyst to join their team at Wellpark, Glasgow. This position doesn’t require any qualifications in Finance or Accounting, although a strong knowledge in these areas would be very helpful.
Although this role is based in Glasgow we are currently working agile, the role will be based in our Wellpark office however working from home is also available.
So what’s involved?
- Assist in the delivery of your channel specific budgeted profit.
- Provide relevant financial insight and financial data to your channel’s commercial team and Finance Business Partner.
- Support key decision-makers through critical research and analysis
- Conduct analyses to identify areas for financial improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly commercial (channel specific) reviews identifying clearly variances to expectations
- Interpret business trends and metrics to assist key decision makers in forming an objective view of operations, services and opportunities.
- Ensure any variances to plans are understood and mitigated.
- Ownership of profit delivery.
- Support the running of channel specific monthly commercial review
- Prepare and own the channel specific budget (and QFR) process and numbers
- Be the owner of all financial data relating to your channel.
What you’ll need:
- Degree in relevant subject and / or relevant work experience
- Good commercial awareness and business understanding
- Ability to work cross functionally
- Motivated by adding value
- Dedicated to providing user friendly and useful information to commercial teams. Strong work ethic.
- Previous of analytical experience in financial analysis, accounting or related discipline.
- Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel
