Customer Advisor (Collections), 6-month FTC

 

What’s involved?

Tennents are looking for multiple Customer (Collection) Advisor’s for 6 month fixed term contracts to join our Account Services team and assist our customers as the on trade (pubs, restaurants and so on) re-open. This role would normally be based at Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow however given the current Covid-19 pandemic, all 1st stage interviews will take place via Microsoft Teams calls and a degree of flexibility will be required. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

So what’s involved?

 

As Customer Collections Advisor, you’ll be on the phones working with our customers (all the pubs, restaurants etc we supply to) to deal with any queries they have – particularly in relation to any of their outstanding payments/ invoices or any product orders that are currently held.

 

About you

You will be a part of our account services function where you’ll work alongside the existing credit control, banking, invoicing and administration teams as the first point of contact when the customer calls in! As the first point of contact on the phone, you’ll need to have a friendly approach to customer service whilst understanding the pressure some places will have been under due to closures for such a long period of time as well as the volume of people that will now want to get back into hospitality venues. Thereafter, there’s a process in place for you to follow, including escalation points, but the priority is that our customers have someone on the other end of the phone who will answer and assist them with their account. Once you’re liaising with the customers, you’ll use the processes we have in place to advise on outstanding payments/ suitable payments/ payment plans so the customer can then receive any outstanding order of products. You’ll then process this through the system, authorising the products to be delivered to the customer once appropriate payment has been complete.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Strong telephone manner, a natural ability on the phone to build rapport with customers
  • Deliver outstanding customer service whilst following processes in place so as to achieve set targets (KPI’s or SLA’s)
  • Any experience advising customers on suitable payment plans would be ideal
  • Comfortable with Microsoft packages (including Excel), or any additional product/ stock systems (for example, JDE) would be ideal
