Exciting Times! Our Accounting Services function is going through an expansion and we are looking for multiple Credit Controllers on a permanent basis in a collections focused role at Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow
So what’s involved?
Our Credit Control team work with our customers to make sure their accounts are up-to-date and deal with any queries that can come up.
As important as it is for credit controllers to have the financial savvy to manage transactions and finance systems, the MOST important thing is how you converse with the customers. Credit controllers come across many different situations and this role has a focus on collections so get to know the customers and work together!
There’s lots of calls involved given it’s a pacey environment and you’ve got to be comfortable talking to a range of customers (sometimes it’s as simple as they don’t know how credit works), gauging the person and adapting to get a good result for all! We don’t want to sugar coat it though, if you work in credit control sometimes you’ve got to be firm.
Thankfully, you'll receive a comprehensive on-boarding, training programme, on-going mentoring & training to help you succeed.
What you’ll need:
To join our credit control team, we’re looking for people with EXCELLENT interpersonal skills & communication with the ability to adapt your approach to different customers (a good sense of humour but also able to handle the difficult conversations!)
Previous experience in a busy credit control, accounts receivable, sales ledger, recoveries or collections role is required so you have a knowledge of the ins-and-outs of being a credit controller.
Additionally, you’ll need to be computer literate as you’ll work daily with Word, Excel, Outlook – and any JDE (or a similar ERP system) exposure is beneficial.
Does this sound like you?
Send us a CV that demonstrates your skills, experience & achievements, and we'll come back to you ASAP.
